Melissa Walker is a professional with an American College of Sports Medicine certification in personal training.

strengthening. And if that wasn’t enough, Melissa is also a master trainer for Resist-a-Ball, a sponsored product
by Spri Products Inc. A world-renowned company in the fitness industry. Ten years ago Melissa saw a demand in
the fitness industry to re-teach training techniques to well conditioned clients. “All my clients come from a
strength training background predominately from a gym atmosphere. I taught them that they could maintain the
results they desired, and improve upon flexibility and elongation of muscle fibers, and to strengthen the
muscles that give and help them maintain great posture.” The program proved to be so successful, that in
1999 Melissa opened her own studio in Hollywood, Florida to such notables as Nikki Taylor, whom she rehabbed
back from a life threatening debilitation.
Melissa maintains a commitment to the health and fitness industry through healthy lifestyle practices and continuing
education. Melissa is also a graduate of Anthony Abbott’s Fitness Institute international in Boca Raton, Florida.
She currently holds certifications in Fitness Testing Specialist, Strength and Conditioning, which earned her an
Outstanding Achievement Award, as well as a certification in Nutrition. Melissa currently holds additionally,
certifications with The American Council on exercise, and The Aerobic and Fitness Association of America.
Melissa was hired by local affiliate WSVN channel 7 as their “Fitness Expert”, in 2000, and for Four years brought
fitness into everyone’s living room, without the use of equipment. In 2005 Melissa was hired away by UPN channel
33 to bring the same excitement to their network. She still can be seen every day at 8:45 AM on channel 33
teaching her passion for fitness, without the use of any equipment, so the lay person can stay fit and healthy
with her expertise.
Melissa’s commitment to fitness goes way beyond the local projects, she has a line of video’s out, for the
American College of Sports Medicine, which teaches the fundamentals of Resistance Training. And Melissa
debuted her own line of Pilates video’s with resistance on QVC in 2001 and 2002. Melissa travels across
the nation educating her peers in the importance of Core Strength, acting as a provider for such Fitness
organizations as American Council on Exercise, Aerobic and Fitness Association of America and The American
College of Sports Medicine.
When you meet Melissa Walker, it is evident that she has a true passion for what she does, teach people that
they can be healthy. Melissa is a motivator and does so in speeches around the country. She is an inspiration
